Joule Community uses community choice aggregation (CCA) as a tool to help municipalities benefit their residents and resident businesses. CCA empowers communities to buy energy on behalf of their residents and small businesses from whom they choose on terms they dictate.

How is CCA good for communities?

CCA transfers the authority to designate the default energy supplier(s) from the state to the local government. It enables the community to wield collective clout to do better for residents than residents would be able to do on their own.
